How Can You Help?
Value, Support and Protect Life!
Journeys to a Dream Fundraising Campaign
Donate $20 dollars today and for the next five months and you will support student travel and community service efforts in Senegal, West Africa. Students and staff will participate in developing a computer lab and cafe in the region while supplying online education for underprivileged children and families. The project is scheduled to begin in June 2011 and will be organized and run by our student “Ambassadors of the Light”. This team will tutor hundreds of children through arts education projects and literacy programs provided by Penguin Books. Your contribution is greatly appreciated and tax deductible!

Becoming a Dream Catcher “Adopt a Child for a Day and a Friend for Life”
Each month, Dream Catchers (sponsors) will be matched with a child in foster care and adoption agencies within the DC Metropolitan area for a day of artistic and cultural activities. Children will meet dream catchers with similar interests and treated like kings and queens for the day! Usually, it is a 3-5 hour experience that will include lunch or dinner at a local restaurant as well as a play, trip to the museum, or music concert. We invite celebrity guests each month to become a dream catcher. The response has been phenomenal! We look forward to your participation!
Contributing to the ACL Tuition Aid Fund to offset the cost of children from low income families
ACL offers students of low-income families an opportunity to participate in our year round programs including after-school, Saturdays and in-residence classes and workshops. These students typically cannot afford to enroll due to financial constraints. As a grassroots organization, ACL depends on the support of donors and foundations to help offset the costs of program expenses including operations, materials and facilities.
- $3,600 will support one student for one year for our after school programs/workshops
- $720 will support one student for one year to participate in our Saturday program
- $180 will support one student to participate in our monthly workshops

The “Building Hope” Fund will support our efforts to build ACL Institutes
As an intricate part of our program, ACL seeks to support communities in underdeveloped countries by contributing services and materials to children and families in need. One of our goals is to build The Art Creates Life Institute within those communities fighting against poverty and economic strife. With each trip, we seek to supply these communities with computers, books, entrepreneurial training to support women and children, literacy programs, health awareness and more. With your help we can make each trip a valuable experience for both the giver and the receiver.
Becoming a member of the “Warriors of the Light” donor circle by contributing $500 or more annually to support ACL programs
“A Warrior of the Light knows that he has much to be grateful for. A Warrior does not need to be reminded of the help given by others, he is the first to remember and he makes sure to share any rewards he receives. He knows that all are one and that each individual action affects everyone on the planet. That is why, when confronted by the suffering of others, he uses his sword to restore order.”
“A Warrior of the Light is in the world in order to help his fellow man.” -Paulo Coelho
